The City Council has the authority to adopt and provide for the execution of ordinances, resolutions, rules and regulations that it deems necessary for the well-being of its residents and may enforce such ordinances by imposing penalties for violations.
Regular Council meetings are held every first and third Mondays of the month at 6:30 p.m. The meetings are held in the Council Room at:

All Regular Council meetings that fall on the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, Memorial Day, and Labor Day are automatically rescheduled for the following day (Tuesday). Individuals desiring to address Council should contact City Hall at 706-554-8000 and must fill out the online Agenda Item Request Form. Forms are also available at City Hall. Anyone who needs assistance in order to attend Council meetings should call City Hall at 706-554-8000.
