General Building Permits

The general building permit includes plumbing, temporary and permanent electrical and mechanical permits. Other types of construction (commercial, light commercial, institutional, etc.) will be permitted by each discipline.

  • New Construction
    • One- and Two-Family Dwellings Building Permit - $200.00 Plan Review Fee + $0.50 per climate-controlled sq. ft + $0.45 non-climate-controlled sq. ft.
    • Commercial Building Permit - $1.00 per sq. ft. according to site plan review with a minimum of $500.00, Permit Fee Shall Not Exceed $275,000.00. 
    • Industrial Building Permit - $2.00 per sq. ft. according to site plan review, with a minimum of $1,000.00, Permit Fee Shall Not Exceed $500,000.00. 
  • Accessory Structure / Building for One- and Two-Family Dwellings - $100.00 plan review + $0.20 per sq. ft. 
  • One- and Two-Family Dwelling Extensive Renovation Project (Projects with a value of over $75,000.00) 
    • $200.00 admin fee + $0.40 per climate-controlled sq. ft + $0.35 per non-climate-controlled sq. ft. 
  • One- and Two-Family Dwelling Renovation Project (Projects with a value under $75,000.00). 
    • Less than $1,000.00 – No Fee
    • $1,000.00 up to $75,000.00 - General Building Permit Fee

  • Miscellaneous Inspections - $75
