Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicle
The City of Waynesboro rolled out its first CNG garbage truck (pictured above) in fall of 2015. Compressed natural gas is a cleaner burning fuel, which means less pollution in our neighborhoods and city. Over the next few years, officials plan to replace or retrofit the City's heavy duty truck fleet and street sweeper with natural gas equivalents.
